Tap Dancing

Tap is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats. The term  "tap dancing" is derived from the tapping sound produced when the small metal plates on the dancer's shoes touch a hard floor or surface.

We offer ISTD syllabus classes and examinations for Tap from beginners to advanced levels; we also have two very popular Adult Tap classes.  GSS has also introduced an additional specialist "Freestyle, Commercial and American" class, which is designed to improve technique as well as to reflect the current developmennts in the genre, and bridge the gap between technical ability and artistic performance standards and expectations.
